Early Morning S'Mores

On our final morning with Katie and Eleanor we finally succeeded in accomplishing a Summer long wish of mine and Eric's.  We built a fire and made s'mores!

Eric was our master firebuilder.  He got quite a bit of direction from Keith, who everyone knows, believes that bigger is better when it comes to fires.

I think Eleanor was throwing her two cents in as well.  It's kind of fun bossing around an Eagle Scout when he's attempting to create just enough coals to brown a marshmallow or two, but you want to see a roaring fire.

Did I mention that Katie and Josh decided just before coming here that they were abandoning sugar?  Katie's substitute roasting activity was instead a biscuit flavored with cinnamon and craisins. It was cooked to perfection.

Eric needed an actual breakfast to get him through the morning.  He was very soon after this off to play some tennis with his buddy Jansen.  Then I recall he and Andre had a double date picnic planned for the afternoon.  Then he would be off to a tennis tournament to round out his day.

Just like camping.

These extra large marshmallows brown up real nice.

Sorry, none for baby.  Maybe next year, Eleanor.
