Mormon Prom

Before the dance we had 4 couples over for dinner.  My chance to create a festive atmosphere!

This is how Pinterest has changed my life.  Before, I would have made a nice fruit salad.  After, I made these impressive rainbow fruit kabobs.  Not difficult to do, but you do need the idea in order to make it happen. 

The centerpieces are also an idea I saw on Piterest.  Floating candles in mason jars tied with a ribbon.  Simple, but cute and fun. 

The chalkboard was a Pinterest idea as well. 

Keith cooked up steaks to order for the kids, we had rockin' music, and it was sooo nice to have the table set up in the North Wing rather than have everyone eating in the kitchen.  It's just a little more spacious and out of the chaos of the kitchen.  :)

As you can see, two of them weren't confident in their eating without spilling skills, so they dressed up after dinner.

The dance theme was "Out of this World"  and I guess it looked great.  Stars everywhere, and super impressive. It was up in Ferndale at the Stake Center.  Ahh, the last big high school/church dance any of my kids will ever go to... 

Mother's Day 2012

Devin called us late Sunday night, which was early afternoon Monday for him.  He and his companion are doing great and loving being super busy being responsible for both a small branch and a group that meets about 20 mins away by bus.  He looks great and we are sure excited to see him in just a few weeks!

Soccer Mohawk

The soccer season has come to a close.  This team went into districts as a higher seed than they ever have previously, so they felt excited about that.  Keith told Eric he's in the best shape right now that he'll ever be in.  That got Eric a little worried that it's all downhill from here, so he's formulating plans to help keep him in fightin' shape.

The Big 1-8

And he certainly looks happy about it!  These guys celebrated by dueling each other with real light up light sabers in the back yard, eating pizza and cake and watching the movie Get Smart.  It was our first party in the north wing, yeah!  Then there was some serious chat about college life coming up next year for all of them but Drew.  Graduation is just around the corner, then a full Summer, and they're off!
