April 2014 General Conference

As soon as we learned that Devin's BYUI men's choir would be singing at the Priesthood session of General Conference, we planned a trip to Utah.  Utah in April means skiing!  Friday night we went night skiing at Brighton with Devin.  It was so much fun! Once I got used to my new skis I was getting down those hills pretty quick, and true to form, Devin did not miss a chance to spray us with snow repeatedly.  So much fun!

Monday was beautiful, bright and sunny, a great day to enjoy the powder at Alta.
We skied our legs off!

Back in Provo, we walked to the new temple being constructed from the old Provo Tabernacle.  It's just a short walk from Diane and Dennis' place.  Sure love being with this family.

Angel Moroni is already sounding his trump.

Saturday afternoon we headed up to Salt Lake, grabbed some lunch and sent Devin off to warm up with the choir.  The rest of us watched the afternoon session of conference in the tabernacle and walked around Temple Square a bit.

It got a little chilly, and then the rain came pouring down, just as the women who wanted to get into the priesthood session were lined up outside.  Coincidence? I think not.

While the men were listening to some wonderful singing and great talks, the women shopped.  Quite successfully, too.

What great weekend to be with my family.
