family Diane has in her life! Thanks for making this day so

special for Diane!

April Conference

I think the best part about having byu tv is being able to watch

General Conference at home. This of course,

creates all sorts of possibilities

for making the weekend special. Something to look forward to,

some traditions to anchor your wonderful feelings

about conference to.

What could be better than food?

It all started with conference muffins.

But we're saving those for the Sunday session,

so Saturday is a great time for

oven baked french toast and breakfast casserole,

two very yummy recipes I picked up from

Maryann Nash in Anacortes.

They are so special that she serves them for

Christmas breakfast at her house.

I think I need them twice a year,

so conference weekend fits the bill perfectly.

A little fruit and dip round out the meal.

Eric just wants me to quit taking pictures

so he can get busy eating!

We invite Grandma Hart, have a lovely meal at the table,

then settle down in our favorite spot

on a couch for the first session.

On to Sunday session.

We take some fruit and head north to Grandma Schenk's.

She provides the muffins and bacon,

and we all kick back in the living room

to enjoy another day of being spiritually fed.



A great way to celebrate and enjoy General Conference.

Spring has Sprung!

OK, I'll admit, I didn't grow these daffodils, but ours are blooming, too! We just don't have a display quite like this. Well, the guys have been busy skiing at Stevens Pass and kayaking the Skagit River, but I have no pictures to post. I think they've been having fun despite the cold, rainy weather. It's been awful cold and rainy for Eric's soccer team as well. Definitely time to see some sunshine!

Diane's Bridal Shower Movie

Just for fun, I put the pictures of the shower to music. It was such lovely evening and the pictures of Diane and Dennis turned out so cute.

So, I've been trying to get this video up for weeks now,and it's finally, hopefully, working. Just a fun reminder of the effort Diane put forth for her marathon. The first part is her ice bath after a 16 mile run. Keeps those legs from gettin too sore! Then pictures from the Anacortes Art Dash 1/2 marathon, then the Top of Utah marathon in September. What a lot of work!
