Birthdays!

My 52nd birthday was the perfect time to gear up for the Super Bowl in which the Seattle Seahawks played and totally creamed the Denver Broncos.  WooHoo!

We even had a little party here with Tyler and Kristen Reid, Carol Scherf and Peggy Ashcraft, as well as a couple of missionaries who shall remain nameless  (Elders Lemon and Bryant). No worries, they ate their yummy pulled pork sandwiches and home made coleslaw facing away from the big screen.  What good guys!  Elder Lemon reminds us so much of Andre it's crazy, and Elder Bryant is from Keith's mission, Kentucky.  They know some of the same people.  Small world.

On my actual birthday, I hosted a waffle party with games and fun in which the invitees were Mom, Paul and Wes.  We had fantastic waffles in every variety, including the ever wonderful chocolate dessert waffles.  I just had to take the opportunity to heat up one of the two new Belgian waffle makers I received for Christmas from Mom and Paul.  Too bad I was too busy eating and winning games to take a picture.

The movie "Frozen" just came out this Winter, and Eleanor is fascinated by all things princess and castles.  For her birthday I made her a big flowy pink cape long enough to cover her feet, as all good princess dresses seem to do.  It was a hit.
